Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actress, director, producer, educator, playwright and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of a Briton and a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. In her early years, Anna appeared in several commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting.
